Ironing symbols
Iron temperature, and whether steam is safe.
- Iron, any temperature You can iron this at any temperature.
- Iron on low (up to 110°C) Iron on a low setting, up to 110°C — safe for silk, acrylic, and nylon. One dot.
- Iron on medium (up to 150°C) Iron on medium, up to 150°C — safe for wool and polyester. Two dots.
- Iron on high (up to 200°C) Iron on high, up to 200°C — safe for cotton and linen. Three dots.
- Iron without steam Iron dry only — no steam. The crossed lines under the iron mean 'no steam.'
- Do not iron Don't iron this — heat will damage the fabric or finish.
